Quad Cortex features multiple device block types. Once you have added a block to The Grid, tap it to open its menu.

Footswitches will light up and correspond to any rotary controls on the block you’ve added. Parameters such as gain can be controlled either by rotating the footswitch or interacting with the multi-touch display.

Depending on the device selected, some controls could not appear and the type could change as well (i.e. the parameter could be a knob or a switch).

  • GAIN

Controls the gain value of the selected device.

  • DRIVE / OVERDRIVE

Controls the drive value of the selected device.

  • TONE

Controls the treble frequencies. This parameter can let all the treble frequencies through or cuts a large amount of treble and some high mids.

  • VOLUME

Sets the overall volume of the selected device.

  • COMP

The amount of gain reduction is determined by this parameter.

  • THRESHOLD

Sets the level at which the main parameter operates.

  • RATE

Adjusts the rate of the effect, with higher settings providing faster rates.

  • DEPTH

Sets the intensity of the modulation.

  • FEEDBACK / MIX / BLEND

Adjusts the amount of delayed signal fed back into the effect. The higher the settings, the wetter the signal is.

  • DECAY

Determines the length of time the effect sustains.

  • PRE DELAY

Sets the time before the effect is heard.

  • HIGH / LOW PASS

Controls the frequency range of the high and low pass filters.

  • TRAILS SWITCH

Trails Off: Any delay or reverb effect is instantly muted when the block is bypassed.

Trails On: Any delay or reverb effect decay naturally when the block is bypassed.

  • BYPASS

This button bypasses the block entirely.
